BIOGRAPHY
My name is Amber Webb. While participating in Aftermath I was living with my Mom and brother Kyler in Surrey. It was hard exposing some of the secrets our family had but hopefully will help others think twice before giving in to peer pressure or urges that they may have.
I have a passion for writing and have written through all of my not so good times in life. I have realized lately that I only write out of sadness anger or hurt, that i have always been this way. Have always been good at expressing things on paper in such a matter that sounds good to the person that is reading or may be experiencing the same emotions. Throughout my life I want to continue writing and find inspiration in other ways than when I am hurt. I have had two of my poems published, one in "A Poetic Landscape" 2011 issue. The other poem was in a book that the schools had in Yale when I was still in Yale school.
During fall / winter I had an apartment in Vancouver with my boyfriend at the time. I made amends with my mother along those lines, and was planning to get started in school ... Although that never happened.
Christmas 2011 for me consisted of going to my Mother’s house for the morning than going back to my apartment and having steak with my now ex-boyfriend. Christmas was nice with my family this year and was different than any that we have had in the last four years or so. We were the closest, most 'back to normal' and 'happy' that we had been in a long time.
I am starting school at the end of April in New Westminster to complete my grade ten education and move on to get a grade twelve education. Then on to post-secondary schooling looking into Psychology or work with helping children/ teens that have been through tough times- although it is a long way away and I have a lot more to explore before then. Writing and photography are my greatest interests. Inspiration comes from anything beautiful, and beauty is everywhere. Heart break is also very inspirational, but inspiration is everywhere if you’re looking.
I am currently living with my mother in delta, and I am happy with the way that life is turning out and how many opportunities I have. Good luck everybody.
